Swipe at JJK?

Michael Tate (whom I think went to Norton) took a shot at JJK in today's Coalfield in calling it a 'cracker box of a gym'.

Am I reading too much into that?

surely to God you didnt think that he was calling it a redneck joint. he was simply stating that it was a small facility.

he isnt saying that, he is asking if the writer is taking shots at JJK by calling the gym extremely small

Perhaps just a poor choice of adjectives on Tate's part. I can't say that I've ever heard the term 'cracker box' to describe a small gym.

Doesnt Norman Dale say something to the affect of "it's bad enough we have to play in this crackerbox you call a gym, your guys are playing like a bunch of animals"

just saying, that may not be dead on, but its close.

When I was in high school at JIB, I had plenty of friends from JJK who ALL called their basketball gym "The Crackerbox". My uncle, a JJK alum, also calls it "The Crackerbox" all the time.
